Two more projects finished. But the list of those to do just keeps growing! Here's the finally finished Honeysuckle quilt. If you go to the tags you will see it under "English Medallion Quilt". I can't believe it took so long to finish this. I love doing the tops, but the finishing is a real challenge for me.

I also managed to mend the oak leaf pillow cover for the large cushion in my living room. Bob used to wear chains when he came over to visit with Meghan. I lost two pillows to those chains! If there's a movement to ban chains as fashion accessories, I'm all for it! I figure with both Bob and Meghan on the other side of the country my cushions are safe...for awhile...

The top is finished! I decided to go for the print. I just liked it better. The other block just seemed to get lost up in the corners.
Now to clip threads on the front and pick a backing and batting for it. It's only 44" square. Hard to imagine, isn't it? Enough English medallion quilting for me! I'm back to scrap quilting.

Almost there! I'm having problems deciding on the corner squares. Here's the whole quilt top so far. It's going to be 44" x 44", just so you have an idea of scale.
Here are my two options for the corner squares. The pattern calls for extra star pieces for the corners. I'm not so sure. I really like the print. But I'm thinking the print takes too much attention away from the center block. Am I right? What do you guys think? Here are photos of the two corner options.

Sorry this has taken so long. I'm having back problems and can't sit too long. So not a lot of sewing lately. Here are the squares set on point lined up against the center block to see what they'll look like.
Here is the second border of squares set on point sewn together. As you can see, it doesn't look too straight!...
But not to worry! The next stage was to attach them to the center block. Ta da! The second and third borders are on!
I am busy cutting tiny little pieces for the outer two borders now. Good thing this quilt isn't going to be much larger! The pieces I'm cutting today are so small I don't think I'd have the patience for any more borders!

Let the quilting begin!
Here is the center block with first border on it. I need to piece the next border, so it could take awhile. This took me about two hours to get right. I took it to a quilting group to work on. I came home and found I had one of the corner nine patches in wrong! I took it out and reset it.
Originally I'd planned on using the green corduroy for the center motif, but I chose this remarkable green print instead. It just seemed to tie the whole quilt together.
As I progress with this quilt I'll post more on it's development.
